Alize Angora Gold
Affordable mohair-acrylic blend with a soft fluffy halo. Incredibly long yardage makes it economical for sweaters and accessories.
What is Angora Gold?
Alize Angora Gold is a medium from Alize, made in Turkey. Composition: 10% mohair / 10% wool / 80% acrylic. One skein holds 550 m of yarn and weighs 100 g. Typically used for knitting and crocheting.
How the yarn behaves
Hairy acrylic-based yarn with a touch of wool and mohair, sold as 'angora' but contains no rabbit fibre. The brushed surface gives a soft halo that hides stitch detail — stockinette and simple shapes show it off best, cables get lost. Knits at a much wider gauge range than its yardage suggests because of the halo. Good for soft scarves, shawls, hats and gift knits where fluff matters. Machine wash gentle to preserve the brushed surface. Sheds a little; expect fibres on dark clothes early on.
