How the yarn behaves
DROPS Alpaca Bouclé is an effect yarn spun from two strands of superfine alpaca around a core of wool and a small amount of polyamide. The yarn's signature is the many small loops of pure alpaca that sit on the surface, creating an extremely soft, fluffy and visually rich fabric. The fibres give light yet warm garments with a gentle halo, ideal for cosy sweaters, cardigans, jackets, hats and scarves; it crochets too but the loops can hide stitch definition. Because the texture is the main feature, it suits simple shapes and stockinette rather than fine cables. Alpaca content gives drape rather than memory. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat to protect the bouclé loops.
