How the yarn behaves
DROPS Andes is a super-chunky two-strand yarn blending wool and superfine alpaca, which combines the shape stability and elasticity of wool with the silky surface and softness of alpaca. The fibres are untreated, only washed before dyeing, which preserves their natural character. It is a quick satisfying knit that produces warm, voluminous fabric with strong stitch definition for cables and texture, making it perfect for chunky sweaters, cardigans, hats, cowls, scarves and chunky blankets. It also crochets very well for substantial fabrics, and it felts nicely. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat; avoid agitation unless you deliberately want to felt the finished piece.
