How the yarn behaves
DROPS Brushed Alpaca Silk is a luxurious feather-light brushed yarn made from soft Peruvian alpaca with a touch of mulberry silk for sheen and strength. The brushed surface produces a soft halo and surprising warmth despite the very light feel, making it ideal for airy oversized sweaters, cardigans, shawls and scarves. It is also a fantastic accent yarn held together with another quality such as a fingering merino to add softness, halo and warmth without weight. The fabric drapes beautifully but has limited memory and stitch definition. Oeko-Tex certified. Care: hand wash cool with wool detergent free of enzymes or optical brighteners and dry flat. Brushing the finished piece can revive the halo.
