What is Glitter?
Drops Design Glitter is a super fine from Drops Design. Composition: 53% merino wool / 24% polyamide / 23% polyester. One skein holds 100 m of yarn and weighs 10 g.
How the yarn behaves
DROPS Glitter is a fine glimmering thread sold in small spools and intended as an accent yarn rather than a standalone fabric. It is made from cupro fibre combined with metal thread, and is offered in shimmering gold and silver. The yarn is typically held together with another DK or worsted weight quality to give garments a subtle sparkle without changing the gauge dramatically. It is useful for festive or special-occasion knits, evening tops, edgings and embellishments, and equally usable in crochet. Because the metallic thread is delicate, it does not stretch much. Care: hand wash cool and dry flat; avoid harsh detergents and high heat to protect the metal core.
