Drops Design Lace is a lace from Drops Design. Composition: 53% merino wool / 47% viscose. One skein holds 400 m of yarn and weighs 50 g.
How the yarn behaves
DROPS Lace is a premium two-strand laceweight yarn blending baby alpaca with mulberry silk, with untreated fibres for a natural surface. The alpaca brings warmth, softness and a delicate halo, while the silk contributes a quiet lustre and tensile strength. It is extremely fine and ideal for intricate, decorative work: lace shawls, stoles, light wraps and openwork scarves that block beautifully to reveal pattern. It can also be held together with another lace yarn to create heavier, soft fabrics, and it crochets well for fine doilies and edgings. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent, do not wring; block wet and dry flat to open up the pattern.
