How the yarn behaves
DROPS Lima is a four-strand everyday yarn in wool with superfine alpaca, with untreated fibres only washed before dyeing. The blend combines the durability and shape stability of wool with the softness and gentle sheen of alpaca, making it a versatile workhorse for classic Norwegian sweaters, sportswear, jackets, hats, mittens and accessories. It gives clean stitch definition for cables, fair-isle and texture, and crochets well too. It is best worked at a moderately tight tension for structured garments. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat to maintain shape; the yarn can felt with agitation, so avoid scrubbing or twisting wet pieces.
