What is Polaris?
Drops Design Polaris is a super bulky from Drops Design. Composition: 100% wool. One skein holds 30 m of yarn and weighs 100 g.
How the yarn behaves
DROPS Polaris is a super-chunky single-stranded yarn made from untreated pure wool, the same soft quality as DROPS Snow but in a much thicker single ply. It knits up extremely quickly into a thick, fluffy and very warm fabric, perfect for substantial blankets, throws, oversized cushions, chunky scarves, hats, ponchos and interior accessories. It also crochets well and is well suited to felting. As a single ply it can pull apart, so giving the strand a small twist as you work helps to keep it intact. The mix shades carded before spinning create lovely heathered colour. Care: hand wash cool and dry flat; avoid agitation unless felting deliberately.
