How the yarn behaves
DROPS Puna is a soft yarn spun from four threads of superfine alpaca with untreated fibres, giving a beautifully smooth surface, a delicate sheen and warm but lightweight garments. Alpaca is hypoallergenic, has no lanolin and is gentler on the skin than many sheep's wools, so Puna suits people with sensitivities. It is wonderful for sweaters, cardigans, shawls, scarves and accessories with flowing drape; it crochets well too. Alpaca yarns have less memory than wool, so structured garments benefit from a slightly tighter tension. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat to keep shape; reshape gently when damp.
