What is Arroyo?
Malabrigo Arroyo is a fine from Malabrigo. Composition: 100% superwash merino wool. One skein holds 306 m of yarn and weighs 100 g.
How the yarn behaves
Malabrigo Arroyo is a soft and sturdy plied yarn made from superwash merino wool, hand kettle-dyed in small batches in Uruguay. The plied construction gives it good stitch definition, balanced twist and resistance to pilling, while the merino base keeps the fabric soft, warm and elastic. It is a favourite for lightweight but warm garments, baby and children's items, shawls, scarves, textured stitches, cables, lace and colourwork; it crochets cleanly too. As a hand-dyed yarn, alternating skeins is recommended for even colour across the project. Care: machine wash on a gentle cycle and dry flat to keep shape and preserve the rich kettle-dyed tones.
