Malabrigo Worsted
The original Malabrigo — single-ply merino worsted famous for its extraordinary softness and rich hand-dyed colours.
What is Worsted?
Malabrigo Worsted is a medium from Malabrigo. Composition: 100% merino wool. One skein holds 182 m of yarn and weighs 100 g.
How the yarn behaves
Malabrigo Worsted is the brand's signature single-ply yarn made from fine Uruguayan merino wool, with buttery softness, excellent stitch definition and a vast rainbow of kettle-dyed colourways from solids and semi-solids to wildly variegated. The single-ply structure produces a soft, lofty fabric with a characteristic painterly look, ideal for next-to-skin sweaters, cardigans, hats, cowls, scarves, throws, textured stitches, cables and colourwork. It crochets beautifully and also felts very well thanks to the non-superwash construction. Give the single ply a small twist as you work to prevent splitting. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat. Alternate skeins to even out hand-dyed variation across the project.
