How the yarn behaves
Rowan Alpaca Classic is a yarn made from alpaca and cotton with a unique construction in which luxurious alpaca fibre is held inside a delicate cotton mesh. This produces a feather-light fabric with a soft natural halo, a gentle drape and good warmth despite the light feel. The yarn is ideal for lightweight pullovers, cardigans, shawls, scarves and accessories that benefit from softness and a quiet halo. It crochets well too, particularly for textured stitches. The cotton mesh gives the otherwise drapey alpaca a little extra structure and shape memory. Care: hand wash cool with mild detergent, do not wring, and dry flat to preserve the airy mesh structure.
