How the yarn behaves
Rowan Alpaca Soft DK is a luxurious yarn made from virgin wool and alpaca, spun from a premium blend of superfine merino, baby alpaca and extrafine merino. The result is a soft, elastic and warm yarn with a slightly haloed surface and very clean stitch definition. It suits everyday sweaters, cardigans, hats, mittens, scarves and accessories where softness against the skin matters, and it crochets nicely too. The wool gives shape memory and elasticity, while the alpaca adds warmth, drape and a gentle halo. Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat to keep shape, elasticity and the soft halo intact over time.
