Rowan Alpaca Sparkle is a light from Rowan. Composition: 90% baby alpaca / 10% metallized polyester. One skein holds 100 m of yarn and weighs 25 g.
How the yarn behaves
Rowan Alpaca Sparkle is a luxurious blend of alpaca, wool and cotton with the addition of complementary-coloured sequins, designed to give finished fabrics a soft sheen and subtle shimmer as the sequins catch the light. The alpaca brings warmth and softness, the wool contributes shape stability and elasticity, and the cotton adds breathability and a clean drape. It is best suited to special-occasion garments, evening tops, light cardigans, shawls, scarves, wraps and festive accessories, and it can also be crocheted for decorative pieces. Because of the sequins and natural fibre content, the yarn is more delicate than everyday acrylics. Care: hand wash cool with mild detergent and dry flat, avoiding heat that could damage the sequins.
