How the yarn behaves

Rowan Felted Tweed DK is an iconic yarn made from lightly felted merino wool blended with viscose and alpaca, giving a soft and slightly hairy yarn with discreet neps of contrasting colour for a heathered tweed character. The fabric is supremely blockable and a favourite for lace, Fair-Isle and colourwork, and it makes a wonderfully drapey, squishable fabric in garter stitch that is cosy yet light. It suits sweaters, cardigans, hats, shawls and accessories, and crochets cleanly for textured fabrics. Companion bases include Felted Tweed Aran (heavier weight) and Felted Tweed Colour (variegated). Care: hand wash cool with mild wool detergent and dry flat to preserve the lightly felted surface.
