Scheepjes Whirl
Iconic long-gradient DK yarn on a giant 225g cake. Cotton-acrylic blend creates stunning fade shawls and sweaters from a single ball.
What is Whirl?
Scheepjes Whirl is a light from Scheepjes, made in Netherlands. Composition: 60% cotton / 40% acrylic. One skein holds 1000 m of yarn and weighs 225 g.
How the yarn behaves
Scheepjes Whirl is a fine gradient yarn made from cotton blended with acrylic, sold as a generous cake of softly colour-changing yarn. The yarn has a generous twist to prevent splitting and to make fast crochet and knitting comfortable, and each colour change is tied with a small knot that can be neatly hidden inside a stitch. The lightweight breathable fabric is ideal for one-cake shawls, scarves, wraps, summer tops and intricate crochet projects, and it works equally well in knit. Themed collections such as the Aurora and Ombré specials are popular. Care: machine wash on a gentle cycle and dry flat to preserve the soft hand and the carefully planned gradient transitions.
