Scheepjes Woolly Whirl
Autumnal version of Whirl blending cotton acrylic and wool. Long gradient transitions in warm cosy tones for shawls and sweaters.
What is Woolly Whirl?
Scheepjes Woolly Whirl is a light from Scheepjes, made in Netherlands. Composition: 45% cotton / 40% acrylic / 15% wool. One skein holds 900 m of yarn and weighs 225 g.
How the yarn behaves
Scheepjes Woolly Whirl is the warm-season sibling of the classic Whirl: an extra-large gradient cake blending cotton with wool, designed for cold-weather projects that still want a long, smooth colour journey. The wool content adds softness, elasticity and warmth, while the cotton keeps it breathable and stable. Like Whirl, it is well twined to make crochet and knitting fast and to prevent splitting, with discreet knots between colour sections. It is ideal for warm shawls, scarves, wraps and statement blankets, and pairs with Woolly Whirlette monotone cakes to extend gradient projects. Care: hand wash or machine wash very gentle (wool cycle) cool and dry flat to protect the wool content.
