What is Angora Melange?

YarnArt Angora Melange is a light from YarnArt, made in Turkey. Composition: 20% wool / 80% acrylic. One skein holds 500 m of yarn and weighs 100 g.

How the yarn behaves

Hairy acrylic-mohair blend (no actual angora despite the name) with a soft halo and a heathered, melange look from the multi-colour fibre source. The halo softens stitch edges, so plain stockinette and simple crochet stitches carry it best. Lightweight on the needles, with good warmth-to-weight from the mohair. Sheds a little early on. Hand wash gentle and dry flat to keep the halo. Steam to wake up the fluff after wear.
