What is Macrame?

YarnArt Macrame is a medium from YarnArt, made in Turkey. Composition: 100% cotton. One skein holds 500 m of yarn and weighs 500 g.

How the yarn behaves

Smooth polyester cord — a knotting cord more than a knitting yarn, though it can be crocheted. Glossy surface, holds knots firmly without slipping, and behaves with stable structure rather than drape. Strong fit for wall hangings, plant hangers, bags, baskets, rugs and other home items where the cord look is the design. Stiff stitch character, so favour large hooks and simple patterns. Machine washable. Holds colour well thanks to the polyester base.
